FOOTBALL: Tiverton Town face tough trip
11:13am Friday 10th February 2012

Tiverton Town travel to Mangotsfield United tomorrow – a ground that they have failed to win at in five Southern league encounters since both sides were promoted from the Western league.
Their last success at Mangotsfield was in the FA Trophy on October 18, 2005, a 2-1 victory secured by goals from Steve Daly and Jamie Mudge.
The reverse fixture played last September was one of the highlights of the season with Tivvy running out 5-0 winners.
Player/manager Mark Saunders played the full 90 minutes in this game and he may be tempted to pick himself again as this has been a happy hunting ground for him, most notably when he scored both goals in Tiverton's 2-1 win in October 1993.
Danny Clay returns to the squad having completed his three match ban, so it is just Harry Nodwell who is sidelined as he recovers from his injury sustained at Barnstaple a month ago.
The next scheduled game at Ladysmead is currently not until Thursday, February 23 when Weston-super-Mare U-18s arrive for a Somerset Floodlight Youth League match.
The reserves then entertain Sidmouth Town reserves in the Devon & Exeter League Division Two on Saturday, February 25 with the first team hosting Didcot Town the following Tuesday.
