Elmore win eight goal thriller
11:20am Wednesday 1st September 2010
Elmore let visitors Shepton Mallett control possession on Saturday but still ended the match as 5-3 winners.
Elmore's clinical finishing was the difference between the sides and they scored with their first two chances, Steve Rowland and Liam Thomas getting on the scoreboard.
Elmore came out after half time with a two goal lead and added to it almost immediately, Sam Kemp heading home.
Two minutes later Mallett pulled one back from the spot and another two minutes later they had halved the deficit as the Elmore defenders went to sleep.
Elmore re-opened a two goal lead, thanks to Rowland's second goal, before being pegged back again.
With ten minutes left Mallett's hopes of a point were dashed as Rowland completed his hat-trick.
